Today we have on Dr. Todd Miller. Associate professor, weight management and human performance laboratory director and department of exercise and nutrition sciences at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, George Washington University on the Virginia science and technology campus.

Dr. Miller is the creator of the Miller Method, which in my simplified words is about measuring your caloric intake and your caloric expenditure and creating a deficit if you're looking to lose weight. One thing I loved about Dr. Miller's approach is he does it in a very balanced way, he’s very clear about what works and what doesn’t work and he also busts a ton of myths around dieting and leaning out.

Today we’re talking about the Six Step Process for Getting Out of a Rut and the bonus piece - staying out of that rut. I dive deep into this because I feel that so many times we get in these ruts and we can move out of them quicker if we really understand the dynamics around it.

Enjoy!

Todays interview is with Craig Holiday.  You may know that I work with Beach Body, Craig was the first mentor I had when I signed up as a Beach Body coach.

When I first got started with beach body, I wanted to do it 100%, I wanted to make sure that I was successful in the business and in order to do that I wanted to learn the correct philosophies. I hired Craig as a mentor and he mentored me for the first two years in our business and helped me to lay the foundation to what it is today.  He was directly responsible for teaching me many of the philosophies we use, philosophies which allowed us to build a business that gave us walk away income.  It gave us the ability to do what we want, when we want with who we want for the rest of our lives.

We learned how to invest in people and bring out the best in them, to help them reawaken a vision and a dream that they’ve always had for their lives. I learned through working with Craig, the highest level of leadership is all about building trust and relationships with human beings, being a leader of leaders.

You're going to love this episode!!

In today's episode of Mindset Monday we're talking about accountability partners. An Accountability Partner is much different than a coach, a teacher, a mentor, or a leader that you're following. An accountability partner is somebody that is where you are and wants to go where you wanna go.

Todays show is about overcoming fear, anxiety and limiting beliefs. This is something I know a little bit about...  Actually, I'm an expert on this because it’s something I’ve struggled with in my life.  I’ve personally had to work through a lot of stuff and I’m going to share a little bit about that story to start things off and then we’re going to dive in to the five Super Important things you need to know. Also, eight steps to overcoming any fear, any anxiety and any limiting beliefs.

In this episode of Mindset Monday, we're talking about not quitting one thing, but replacing it with another. So many times we have things in our lives that we don't want anymore.

The easiest way to discontinue a habit you don't want to continue, is to replace it with a better habit. If we focus on discontinuing, we're still focusing on that habit, we're still giving that habit energy. If we're focused on not doing something change is difficult.  It's easier to move through something if you're focused on doing something else.

This first Episode of 2016 is about Preparing to Follow Your Vision and Dream. Initially, I wanted to do this episode on goal setting and planning for the New Year.

As I was outlining the call on goal setting, I got to thinking about my life and I was thinking about how I go about doing things and I thought to myself that if you are not clear on your vision and your dream and you haven’t cultivated that and it hasn’t really settled into your DNA, then it’s really hard to set appropriate goals and set appropriate things that you want to get accomplished throughout the year.

So, todays episode, is about a story of mine and a time in my life when the vision and dream of my life was implanted in me.  I’m also going to share about why I’m doing this podcast, where I’m going with this podcast, share a little bit more about some of the guests, why I chose specific guests. And as you listen, what I really want you to think about is the vision and dream of your life.
